YouHodler is a Swiss-based crypto app that puts buying and exchanging crypto, cash borrowed against your crypto ("Get Cash"), an earning account and a leveraged trading tool called MultiHODL under one login. It can suit experienced crypto holders who understand collateral and leverage. It is a poor first stop for beginners, because two of its main products can cost you more than a plain coin purchase would. Our YouHodler link is for the mobile app only and is not available to readers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Italy, India or Singapore, among other countries. We have not opened an account or tested the app: everything below comes from YouHodler's own public pages as read on 11 October 2026.
What YouHodler is
YouHodler describes itself as "a full-service Web3 fintech platform" that "bridges the gap between fiat and crypto", under the slogan "Daily Crypto. Swiss Made". According to its website, the main company, YouHodler SA, is a registered financial intermediary in Switzerland, with an affiliation confirmation from the self-regulatory organisation PolyReg. The site lists further registrations as a virtual asset service provider (VASP): YouHodler SA with the Banco de España, YouHodler Italy S.R.L. with the OAM in Italy, and YouHodler SA's Argentine branch with the CNV. Its homepage sums this up as "regulated in Switzerland, the EU and Argentina".
A VASP registration is not the same as the protection a bank account gives you. YouHodler's own risk wording says "you should not expect to be protected if something goes wrong", and its website states that it is "NOT regulated by the FCA", so UK legal protections do not apply.
The main products
Get Cash: borrowing against your crypto
Get Cash lets you use crypto or stablecoins "as security" and receive an agreed amount in USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, BTC or stablecoins. You choose a coin, the amount and a tariff, and the money arrives in your YouHodler wallet. When you repay, the page says, "the user gets the assets back even if they have increased in value".
What the Get Cash page does not explain is what happens when the price of your collateral falls. With crypto-backed loans in general, that is the question that matters most: if the value of what you pledged drops far enough, the lender can sell it to cover the loan, and you lose the coins you were trying to keep. Before borrowing, read the tariff terms and the liquidation rules in the app, and work out the price at which your collateral would be sold. Our guide to crypto lending platforms explains how these mechanics usually work.
Growth account: earning on idle crypto
The Growth account, which YouHodler also calls the Yield account, pays returns on a long list of coins, with weekly payouts and "no lock period", so you can withdraw at any time. The rates depend on the coin and on a tier tied to your monthly trading volume. We do not quote them here: they change, they vary by coin and tier, and the page does not guarantee them.
The page does not mention deposit insurance or any protection scheme for these balances. Crypto parked with a platform to earn a return is exposed to that platform: if it fails, is hacked or freezes withdrawals, the rate stops mattering. YouHodler's own risk disclosure warns that holdings "are susceptible to security breaches, hacks, and theft". Our staking guide explains how earning on-chain differs from earning through a company.
MultiHODL: leveraged bets on price
MultiHODL lets you pick whether a price will go "UP or DOWN", apply a multiplier to your stake and set take-profit and stop-loss levels. At the time of writing (October 2026), the page advertised multipliers of up to x70. A multiplier magnifies losses exactly as it magnifies gains: in a simple x70 position, a price move of about 1.4% against you equals your whole stake, before any costs. The page also says there are no opening or closing fees and free rollover for the first hour, but it does not say what rollover costs after that or how positions are closed when losses mount. Read those terms in the app first.
It is a trading tool, not a way to grow savings.
Everything else
The app also offers buying crypto, a crypto exchange, a crypto card, a Web3 wallet, its own YHDL token, a loyalty programme and a "Cloud Miner" feature, for which YouHodler itself says any potential returns "do not constitute a guarantee of results".
Where our link works
Our YouHodler link works on mobile only. YouHodler's download page offers iOS and Android downloads, so open this page on your phone if you want to follow it.
The link is not available to readers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Italy, India, Singapore, Indonesia, China, Russia or Belarus, among other countries. It does work in many others, including Norway, most of the EU, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Turkey, the UAE, South Africa, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Ukraine. That list belongs to our link, not to YouHodler as a whole, and it can change. YouHodler's website also shows some visitors a notice that it "is not intended for users in your jurisdiction". Check that YouHodler accepts customers in your country before you sign up.
We may earn a commission if you open an account through this link. It does not change what we write, and we have not been paid to review YouHodler.
Who it suits, and who should skip it
YouHodler may suit you if you already hold crypto, want to borrow against it rather than sell, and understand that a falling market can cost you the collateral, or if you are an experienced trader who always uses a stop-loss.
Skip it if you are new to crypto, cannot afford to lose the money or want bank-style protection for your savings. Start with a plain purchase on a well-known exchange instead (see our exchange comparison) and learn how to keep your coins secure.
Borrowing against crypto and earning on it can both have tax consequences; see our crypto tax guide.
Five checks before you sign up
- Confirm that YouHodler accepts customers in your country.
- For Get Cash, find the tariff costs and the price at which your collateral would be sold.
- Treat any Growth account rate as variable and unprotected.
- Never open a MultiHODL position without a stop-loss, and never with money you cannot lose.
- Secure your account with the strongest login protection the app offers.
Frequently asked questions
Is YouHodler regulated? According to its website, YouHodler SA is a registered financial intermediary in Switzerland and a registered virtual asset service provider in Spain, with further registrations in Italy and Argentina. It states that it is not regulated by the UK's FCA. A registration does not mean your crypto is protected like a bank deposit.
Is YouHodler available in the US or the UK? Our YouHodler link is not available to readers in the United States or the United Kingdom, nor in Canada, Germany, Italy, India or Singapore. YouHodler's own website says its promotions are not aimed at UK investors.
Can I lose money with YouHodler? Yes. YouHodler's own warning reads: "Don't invest unless you're prepared to lose all the money you invest." Crypto prices can fall sharply, pledged collateral can be sold if its value drops, and MultiHODL multipliers magnify losses.
What is MultiHODL? MultiHODL is YouHodler's tool for taking a position on whether a crypto price will rise or fall, with a multiplier applied to your stake. It magnifies gains and losses alike, so it only suits experienced traders who use a stop-loss.
The bottom line
YouHodler bundles useful tools for people who already hold crypto, but its two headline features, cash borrowed against your coins and multiplied trades, both carry the risk of losing more than you expected. Use it only if you understand collateral, liquidation and leverage, and read how crypto volatility works before you start.
Capital at risk. This is general information, not financial or tax advice. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose money.
